Colton 106 Laboratory

Colton 106 Laboratory

Thanks largely to a grant from the National Science Foundation (Grant number DUE-9952749) and matching funds from Hiram College, the Department of Computer Science converted an old chemistry laboratory into what is now a high-end computer laboratory for majors and minors in the department. Features of the laboratory include a raised floor under which cables are laid, 16 computers (currently running Pentium 4's at 2.80 GHz, 1 Gb RAM, and ATI FireGL V3100 video cards), and a separate room with conference table and projection screen. The first classes were held in this lab during the 2001 Spring 12-week session.

The Colton 106 open hours of operation are 8-10 PM, Sunday through Thursday, with additional hours as needed. The lab is closed during terms with no scheduled Computer Science courses.
